Surface treatment method:
The application of solvents and emulsions to clean the surface of steel to remove oil, grease, dust, smoothing agents, and similar organic substances, but it cannot remove rust, oxide skin, welding flux, etc. on the surface of steel, so it is only used as an auxiliary measure in anti-corrosion production.
2. Tool rust removal
The primary use of tools such as wire brushes to polish the surface of steel can remove loose or raised oxide skin, rust, welding slag, etc. Rust removal by hand tool can reach Sa2 level, and that by power tools can reach Sa3 level. If the steel surface is attached with solid oxide scale, the tool rust removal result is not ideal, and the anchor pattern depth required for anti-corrosion construction cannot be reached.
3. Acid washing
Chemical and electrolytic methods are commonly used for pickling treatment, while chemical pickling is only used for pipeline anti-corrosion, which can remove oxide skin, rust, and old coatings. Sometimes, it can be used as a re disposal after sandblasting and rust removal. Chemical cleaning can achieve a certain level of cleanliness and roughness on the surface, but its anchor lines are shallow and can easily contaminate the situation.
4. Spray (jetting) rust removal
Spray (throwing) rust removal is achieved by using a high-power motor to drive the spray (throwing) blades to rotate at high speed, causing abrasives such as steel sand, steel shot, iron wire segment, and minerals to spray (throwing) the surface of the steel pipe under centrifugal force. This not only completely eliminates rust, oxides, and dirt, but also achieves the required average roughness of the steel pipe under the fierce impact and friction of the abrasive.
After spraying (throwing) rust removal, it can not only expand the physical adsorption effect on the surface of the pipe, but also strengthen the mechanical adhesion effect between the anti-corrosion layer and the surface of the pipe. Therefore, spraying (throwing) rust removal is an ideal rust removal method for pipeline anti-corrosion. Generally speaking, shot blasting (sand) rust removal is mainly used for the internal and external surface treatment of pipes, while shot blasting (sand) rust removal is mainly used for the surface treatment of pipes.
