What are the functions of the Ministry of Standardization?

Partial standard pipe, also known as spiral welded pipe, is made by winding the steel strip of low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel on the tube blank at a certain helical angle (called the forming angle), and then welding the tube after sewing. Large-diameter steel pipes can be produced from narrow strips. Then, let's learn about the functions of the lower standard pipes!

First, the characteristics of the standard tube

The production process of the straight seam welded pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, the cost is low, and the development is rapid. The strength of the standard pipe is generally higher than that of the straight seam welded pipe. The welded pipe with a larger diameter can be produced with narrow raw materials, and the welded pipe with different diameters can be produced with the same width of raw materials. However, compared with the same length of seamless pipe, the welding length, plus 30~100%, and the production speed is very low. Therefore, small-diameter welded pipes are mostly straight seam welded, and large-diameter welded pipes are mostly spiral welded.

Second, the use of the Ministry of Standards

Ministry standard management is mainly used in water engineering, petrochemical, chemical, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction. For liquid transportation, it is used for water supply, drainage, sewage treatment process, mud supply, and ocean water supply. For gas transmission: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas. Structural use: for piling, for bridges; for wharfs, roads, real estate structures, pipelines for marine piling, etc.

Standard pipe standards and uses: Spiral steel pipes for pressurized fluid transportation are mainly used for pipelines for transporting oil and natural gas. They are welded by high-frequency overlap welding. Spiral double-sided submerged arc welded steel pipes for transportation are manufactured by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding or single-sided welding, and are used for water, gas, air, steam, real estate piling, low-pressure transmission piping, etc.

The production process of the standard pipe is based on the coiling of strip steel as the raw material, which is often formed by warm extrusion and welded in the automatic double-line double-sided submerged arc welding process. The straight seam steel pipe, which is the characteristic of the standard pipe, has a simple production process, high production efficiency and low cost. The standard pipe is generally stronger than the straight seam steel pipe. The narrow material can be used to produce the standard pipe with a large diameter, and the same width of the strip can also be used to produce the standard pipe with different diameters.
