Abstract
spiral welded pipeThe main difference between the longitudinal welded pipe and the longitudinal welded pipe is the different welding forms. Spiral welded pipe is a low carbon structural steel or low alloy structural steel strip with a certain helix angle (also known as forming angle) rolled into tube blank, and then welded to make pipe seam. Large diameter steel pipes can be produced from narrow strip steel. Spiral welded pipes are mainly spiral submerged arc welded pipes (SSAW), which are used frequently in the construction of various gas pipelines in China. Its specifications are expressed in "outer diameter * wall thickness. Spiral welded pipe has single-sided welding and double-sided welding. The welded pipe shall ensure that the hydraulic test, tensile strength and cold bending performance of the weld meet the requirements.
The straight seam welded pipe is a kind of high frequency straight seam welded pipe (ERW). After the coil is formed by the forming machine before welding, it is melted by the proximity effect generated by the high frequency current and the solder layer, and then melted by a certain extrusion force, and then cooled and formed. The edge of the tube blank is melted by the high frequency current and welded by arc welding, which is called the straight submerged arc welded pipe (LSAW).
The strength of spiral welded pipe is generally higher than that of straight welded pipe, and the main production process is submerged arc welding. Spiral welded pipe can use the same width of the blank to produce different pipe diameter welded pipe, can also use a narrower blank to produce larger diameter welded pipe.
The production process of longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe is relatively simple, mainly divided into high frequency welding longitudinal welded pipe and submerged arc welding longitudinal welded pipe. Longitudinal welded pipe has high production efficiency, low cost and rapid development.
However, compared with the longitudinal welded pipe of the same length, the weld length is increased by 30~100, and the production speed is low. Therefore, welded pipes with smaller diameters are mostly longitudinal welding, while welded pipes with larger diameters are mostlyspiral welded pipe.
